In addition to providing urgent care services, Urgent Care at Miramont also provides primary care services with a focus on prevention...lifestyle medicine. Dr. Jim Seeton and Laura Turk, FNP-BC, offer comprehensive medical care from birth to seniors, including pediatric services for children and routine gynecological services for women. They believe in a proactive, preventive approach to health and disease management, offering lifestyle interventions to prevent, treat and manage medical conditions.
The Lifestyle Medicine team can also create an individualized wellness program for you that meets all of your challenges and needs. They will provide you with quality support and motivation so that you can experience success. The cost of the Weight Loss and Diabetes program can vary since they are personalized and some services are billable to insurance.

A 12 – week program designed to provide you the comprehensive support needed to lose weight and keep the weight off. An integrated team of medical providers, registered dietitian and personal trainer, make lasting lifestyle change the focus of this program. The team will facilitate the creation of new lifestyle habits in the areas of diet, exercise, and stress management. It is geared for those individuals who have had varied success with weight loss programs in the past and/or have health conditions and medications that need to be medically managed while weight is lost.
A personalized program that includes nutritional guidance specific to diabetes as well as exercise training. This program will teach those with Type II Diabetes how to better manage their condition and more importantly how to make lifestyle changes to prevent the development and/or further progression of the condition. Personal Training sessions are weekly and personalized to the individual’s needs.
Research studies consistently show the negative effect that high levels of stress can have on your health and well-being. Kathleen Jones, MA, and Jennifer Caragol, MD, will teach you basic tools you can use everyday to help combat some of your stress and/or chronic pain. Leave the training feeling inspired to make some simple lifestyle changes that can have a profound impact on your health.
